CleanBC Go Electric EV Charger Rebate
The CleanBC program offers a rebate of up to $350 for BC residents installing a Level 2 EV charger at home. Available to BC Hydro and FortisBC customers. The rebate is applied directly through your utility.
- BC resident with a BC Hydro or FortisBC account
- New Level 2 EV charger installation at your primary residence
- Charger must be installed by a qualified electrician
- Must be a qualifying ENERGY STAR® certified charger
BC Hydro EV Home Charging Rebate
BC Hydro customers can receive a rebate of up to $350 on the purchase and installation of a qualifying Level 2 EV charger. The rebate covers the cost of the charger and eligible installation costs.
- Active BC Hydro residential customer
- Own or lease a plug-in electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle
- New Level 2 charger (240V) installed at your BC Hydro-served home
- Charger must be on the qualifying products list
FortisBC EV Charger Rebate
FortisBC offers a rebate of up to $350 for customers in FortisBC service areas (Kelowna, Kamloops, Prince George, and surrounding areas) who install a qualifying Level 2 EV charger at home.
- Active FortisBC residential customer
- Own or lease a plug-in electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle
- New Level 2 charger installed at your primary residence
- Charger purchased and installed after rebate application
Federal EV Affordability Program (EVAP)
The federal EVAP provides a point-of-sale incentive of up to $5,000 on the purchase or lease of an eligible new zero-emission vehicle. Applied automatically at the dealership — no separate application required.
- Purchase or 12+ month lease of an eligible new ZEV
- Battery-electric, hydrogen fuel cell, or longer-range plug-in hybrid
- MSRP under $55,000 (or $60,000 for certain configurations)
- For personal use — not commercial fleet vehicles
Stack Your Rebates
BC residents can combine the CleanBC/utility rebate (up to $350) with the federal EVAP vehicle incentive (up to $5,000). The vehicle rebate is applied at the dealership automatically — no separate application. The charger rebate is claimed through your utility after installation.
